This book is a compilation of 'greatest hits' from one of America's most prolific architectural photography companies (500,000 images and counting). Hedrich Blessing dates back to the 1920's (the founders worked closely with Frank Lloyd Wright) so the book spans three quarters of a century. There's a great variety of work: black and white, colour, interiors, exteriors, public buildings and private homes. The one factor that links them all is the superb quality, both technical (they all seem to be large format) and aesthetic (beautiful use of lines, curves, colour and light throughout). Accompanying every shot is a caption naming the photographer, the building, the date. This a book which thrills and inspires in equal measure.
